About DM Cleaning Services
Window repairs and window fitting for Buckingham and the surrounding villages — with repair as the starting point rather than the fallback.
What we do
DM Cleaning Services carries out window repairs and window fitting across Buckingham and north Buckinghamshire. In practice that means three things: putting right the mechanical parts of UPVC windows, replacing sealed glass units that have misted or broken, and fitting new windows where the old ones genuinely cannot be saved.
Most of the work is the first two. A window that will not lock, a sash that catches on the frame, a pane you can no longer see through — these look like whole-window problems to the person living with them, and they are almost always component problems underneath.
Repair before replacement
There is a good commercial reason for a window company to quote you for new windows: it is the biggest job on the list. We would rather tell you the truth, which is that the frame in most Buckingham houses has a lot of life left in it and the thing that has failed is bolted to it with four screws.
So the first question is always which part has actually gone, not how many windows are on the elevation. If it is a handle, you get a handle. If it is a gearbox, you get a gearbox. If it is a blown sealed unit, you get glass and keep your frame. And if the frame really has failed — cracked at the welds, distorted, or from a profile nobody makes parts for any more — you will be told that plainly too, and we will price the replacement.
The short version: we will tell you when a repair will do, and we will tell you when it will not. Both answers get given the same way — on the phone, before anything is booked in.
How we price work
There is no price list on this site, and that is deliberate. The same description covers wildly different jobs: "my window will not close" can be a five-minute adjustment or a full mechanism replacement, and a replacement sealed unit is priced by the size of the glass, so no two are alike.
What you get instead is a price for your specific job before it is booked. Ring and describe the fault, or email a photo of the handle, hinge or misted pane. Where the fault is clear enough from that, you get a price without anyone coming out. Where it genuinely needs measuring — replacement glass and new windows almost always do — you will be told that up front rather than after the event.
How the work is left
A window repair is a small job in someone's home, and it should feel like one. That means covering the working area, keeping the mess contained, testing the window through its full range before leaving, and taking the old parts, the old glass and the packaging away rather than leaving them by the bins.
Where new windows have been fitted, the old frames and glass go too, and the joint between frame and reveal is sealed properly inside and out — which is the part that actually determines whether the window keeps the weather out over the following winters.
Where we work
Buckingham and roughly fifteen miles around it: the MK18 villages from Maids Moreton and Gawcott out to Tingewick, Akeley and Thornborough, the Claydons and Winslow to the south east, Brackley, Silverstone and Towcester to the west, and across through Deanshanger and Stony Stratford to the western edge of Milton Keynes.
The villages matter as much as the town. Rural properties are often the ones the larger glazing firms are least interested in for a single repair, and they tend to be exactly where a sensible repair saves someone a great deal of money.

Getting in touch
There is no contact form on this site. Windows are much easier to sort out in a two-minute conversation than through a form, so it is a phone call or an email — 07765 923817 or tauntoncarpetclean@yahoo.co.uk. A photo attached to an email is worth a lot; it often means we can price the job without a visit at all.
What you can expect
Four things that hold true whether the job is a handle or a set of new windows.
The repair option first
You will be told when a part will fix it, even where a replacement window would be the larger job. Nobody gets quoted for new windows they do not need.
A price before it starts
The price is agreed before the work is booked in, and where glass has to be measured first you are told that at the outset rather than discovering it later.
Local, not a call centre
You ring a phone that is answered locally, describe the window, and deal with the same people who turn up to do the work.
The mess goes with us
Old parts, old glass, offcuts and packaging are taken away, and the working area is left clear rather than swept into a corner.
